Do you think that the Philadelphia 76ers have the same thing happen to them next year as the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team had happen to them in the playoffs. In 2007 the Phillies were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and the same thing happened to the Sixers this year. The next year in 2008 the Phillies won the World Series. My question is do you think the Sixers can win the NBA Championship next year after losing in the first round of the playoffs this year.

Oh boy, I really wish that could happen. The Sixers are far away from being a contender. They may make the playoffs but they will still get bounced in the 1st round. There are too many holes in their roster. They still need to get a PG for the future. They need a big-time shooter or two. Dalembert has a low basketball IQ. It is impossible to trade him due to his bad contract. I do like Elton Brand. He’s good but the management need to put right players around him. Iguodala is pretty good too but he isn’t the #1 option.
Unless the Sixers do something drastic in the off-season, they will still get bounced in the 1st round. Oh, one more thing, hiring Eddie Jordan as a coach certainly doesn’t help.
